Sabine Sibler holds a civil engineering degree specializing in water provision and wastewater treatment from the School of Applied Sciences Weihenstephan, Germany, and a M.Sc from Virginia Tech, USA. She has extensive experience in implementing development cooperation projects funded by the BMZ, EU, and UN. Most notably, from 2011 to 2017 she led a partnership project in the water sector between the BBW group and two Kenyan water associations: the Water Service Providers’ Association (WASPA) and the Kenya Water Industry Association (KWIA). Since 2022, she has been leading a partnership project for the German Water Partnership (GWP) and the African Water and Sanitation Association (AfWASA) to support the establishment of the African Water and Sanitation Academy (AWASA).
